EDUCATION
Every country has its own education system. In Russia the public educational system includes pre-school, primary school, secondary school and higher education. Children can start going to kindergarten from the age of two, but this is not compulsory. Pupils start going to school from the age of 7 till 16.
The primary school teaches its pupils elementary skills, such as reading, writing, counting. The most important period is the secondary school, which starts from the 5th grade. A lot of new subjects begin in the secondary school.
After finishing studying at secondary school or a college, young people can start working or enter a university. There they study for 4 years or more.
This year I’m finishing the 8th grade. I study a lot of subjects. My favorite subject is ……………………, because ……………………………………………… . My least favorite subject is …………………… . Outside the class I belong to cadets/relax/spend time on my hobbies. I like studying because I like learning new facts, also I meet my friends at school./I don’t like studying at my school, because our lessons are boring, teachers are strict and angry. In the future I want to enter some prestigious university.
